President Erdoğan receives Türkiye’s successful national teams

Earlier this week, the President of the Republic of Türkiye Recep Tayyip Erdoğan received Turkish Volleyball Federation (TVF) President Mehmet Akif Üstündağ and members of Türkiye’s national teams at the Presidential Residence in Ankara.

The reception brought together the winners of the CEV Trendyol EuroVolley 2026 Women, the champions of the 2026 Mediterranean Games in the women’s competition, the 2003 EuroVolley runners-up, the 2026 #EuroVolleyU18W silver medallists, the 2026 FIVB U17 World Championship silver medal winners as well as the 2026 ISF World champions from the TVF Sports High School men’s Volleyball team. 
 
Speaking at the reception, TVF President Mehmet Akif Üstündağ highlighted President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan’s invaluable role for Turkish sports and athletes, expressing his gratitude for his continued support of Turkish Volleyball.

Üstündağ also thanked President Erdoğan for his significant support in bringing the CEV Trendyol EuroVolley 2026 Women to Türkiye, emphasising Türkiye’s strong organisational capabilities in hosting major international sporting events.
 
During the reception, TVF President Mehmet Akif Üstündağ presented President Erdoğan with national team jerseys signed by the athletes, as well as the championship balls from the 2026 FIVB Volleyball Nations League and the CEV Trendyol EuroVolley 2026 Women that concluded this past Sunday in Istanbul.
