A small country like Serbia is a European and world Volleyball powerhouse.”
President of Serbia
Zoran Terzić addressed the gathering on behalf of the national team, after which Maja Ognjenović, captain of the Serbian women’s senior national team, presented President Vučić with a volleyball signed by all members of the team that just competed at the CEV Trendyol EuroVolley 2026 Women.
Zoran Terzić“We did not play for ourselves or for the team, but always and only for Serbia. As the greatest among us Serbian athletes, Novak Đoković, once said: ‘When you have a motivation such as playing for your country, you can do anything.’”
Head coach of Team Serbia
Maja Ognjenović and Nađa Antonović jointly cut a specially prepared cake. In accordance with a decision by the Government of the Republic of Serbia, all players and head coach Terzić were awarded € 10,000 in the dinar equivalent.
