Saturday’s game between Slovakia and Sweden drew a record-breaking audience for Swedish women’s volleyball. Although thousands of spectators in yellow shirts made plenty of noise after every point – or whenever prompted by the stadium DJ – two middle-aged Slovak men managed to drown out the Swedish crowd during the match.

Tomas Frič and Ludo Hrušecký support Slovakia in Sweden

High up in the stands at Scandinavium, Tomas Frič and Ludo Hrušecký travelled all the way from Slovakia to support their national team. So, what brought them here? Frič’s daughter is outside hitter and team captain Karolína Fričová, while Hrušecký’s daughter is middle blocker Tereza Hrušecká.
The two fathers travel around the world to follow their daughters’ careers.

“We are proud fans of Slovakia. And, of course, our daughters are playing for the national team, so we come to cheer them on.”
