Vodafone Türkiye has joined the ever-growing list of sponsors and partners for the CEV Trendyol EuroVolley 2026 Women as an Official Partner for the event in Türkiye, where the competition is due to begin later today and will run until the medal matches scheduled for September 6 in Istanbul at the iconic Sinan Erdem Sports Hall. The eventual European champions will also qualify for the Los Angeles 2028 Olympic Games.

Vodafone Türkiye joins forces with the European Volleyball family as the technology partner for the event in Türkiye and as one of the leading providers of mobile connectivity and digital services, including 5G technology, in Türkiye and in many more countries across the globe. The company, which has signed the largest and most comprehensive sponsorship agreement for women’s Volleyball worldwide and for women’s sports in Türkiye, has now also become a technology sponsor of the CEV.

Vodafone will integrate the match technologies to be used throughout the tournament with Vodafone 5G, providing Volleyball fans watching both on screen and from the tribune with real time data including serve speed, spike speed and height, Challenge data, match statistics and player graphics. Powered by Vodafone 5G’s real time connectivity, statistics and measurements generated during matches in Türkiye will also be made available to broadcasters around the world.

As part of the agreement with the Turkish Volleyball Federation (TVF), Vodafone Türkiye is currently the title sponsor of the Turkish Women’s Volleyball League (Vodafone Sultans League) and the main sponsor of the Turkish Women’s National Volleyball Team – so this partnership is an ideal blend of local connection with the international appeal and profile of a major sporting event such as the CEV EuroVolley.

“It is truly special to see that globally established brands such as Vodafone Türkiye are joining forces with us for the delivery of our flagship competition for women’s national teams,” says CEV President Roko Sikirić. “It speaks volumes for the terrific development that our sport has undergone. Vodafone Türkiye was already closely associated with Volleyball in Türkiye and we now look forward to leveraging such connection to raise the profile of EuroVolley across Europe and even further beyond.”

The competition in Istanbul will get underway later tonight with the opening match featuring hosts Türkiye, aka the ‘Sultans of the Net’, and Latvia – who are making their first EuroVolley appearance since 1997. Türkiye are the defending European champions following the historic success they celebrated in Brussels in 2023 – and earlier this year they further cemented their status as a true Volleyball powerhouse by winning their second Volleyball Nations League title.
