On Wednesday, May 14, as many as 85 people from across Europe and even further beyond tuned in to follow a highly engaging webinar on social media and content creation specifically designed for Beach Volleyball clubs. The session was meant to provide practical, easy-to-apply strategies to help clubs elevate their digital presence, strengthen their brand identity, and engage their communities more effectively. The webinar was delivered by Andrea Michieli of Italy, who has been creating and managing social media content for the likes of ASD Beach Volley Training Beinasco and former CEV Cup and CEV Challenge Cup winners Reale Mutua Fenera CHIERI ’76.
The webinar explored key questions every club should ask themselves such as:
• Why are we on social media?
• What do we want to communicate?
• How can we create and manage content consistently even with limited resources?
From building a recognisable brand to setting up professional profiles, participants learned how to plan weekly content calendars, repurpose photo and video assets, and create engaging posts using free tools such as Canva, CapCut, and Meta Business Suite. Real-life examples and templates gave clubs a practical starting point to improve their storytelling around tournaments, athletes, and training sessions.
The webinar also emphasised that consistency is more important than perfection, especially when working with small teams and limited time. By the end, participants had not only a clearer picture of how to communicate more effectively but also a renewed sense of the potential social media holds for growing Beach Volleyball at club level.
This was the first in a series of webinars specifically focussed on Beach Volleyball Club development organised by the CEV Beach Volleyball Department in conjunction with the third edition of the CEV Beach Volley European Cup. Click here for further information.
