Jastrzebski Is The New Champion in Poland With A Stunning Victory Over ZAKSA

Only nine days left for the SuperFinals in Turin, and the CEV Champions League Volley champions will become clear. The two candidates for this title, Jastrzebski Wegiel and Grupa Azoty ZAKSA Kedzierzyn-Kozle, have been facing off for the domestic league triumph in Poland. Now, it came to an end: After receiving an impressive victory over their strong opponent, Jastrzebski won the clash and final series by 3-0 and became the new Polish champions.

Two SuperFinalists once again took the court against each other in the third leg of the Polish PlusLiga finals. The Jastrzebski side was leading the series by 2-0; one more win meant the title for them. The French opposite, Stephen Boyer, became the top scorer of the clash with 15 points, but the MVP award went to Yuriy Gladyr: The experienced Ukrainian-Polish middle blocker produced 12 points, including six blocks and two aces. Polish international Lukasz Kaczmarek was the only player who scored in double digits on the losing side.

Now, all eyes will be on the SuperFinals of the CEV Champions League Volley between these two squads. Of course, Jastrzebski took the psychological advantage over ZAKSA thanks to the playoff final series in the national league. On the other hand, the reigning titleholder of the continent's most prestigious tournament, ZAKSA, will try their best to take the trophy once again.

Italian Serie A1 playoff finals will continue with the fourth leg: Two #CLVolleyM participants, Itas Trentino and Cucine Lube Civitanova will once again face off in the fourth clash of the final series.
