- After a heroic battle against Greenyard MAASEIK with a victory in the golden set (15-17), Knack ROESELARE moved over to the Final Phase of the CEV Volleyball Cup 2023. Other teams in this Final Phase are PGE Skra BELCHATOW, Valsa Group MODENA and Bluenergy Daiko Volley PIACENZA.
- In this Final Phase, Knack ROESELARE will meet the Italian team Bluenergy Daiko Volley PIACENZA with world volley stars such as Antoine Brizard (Olympic Gold), Yoandy Leal, Ricardo Lucarelli, Robertlandy Simon and Yuri Romano among others.
- Both teams encountered each other already four times in the Champions League competition. In the edition of 2004-2005 both teams won their away matches (2-3 in Italy and 0-3 in Belgium). In the edition of 2014-2015, Knack ROESELARE won their home match with 3-2 but lost their away match in PIACENZA with 3-1.
- In the weekend of 25 and 26 February, both teams won the Cup in their own country. Knack ROESELARE defeated Decospan MENEN with 3-0 (25-18, 25-23, 25-22) while Bluenergy Daiko Volley PIACENZA won the Coppa d’ Italia winning from PERUGIA (3-0) in the semi-final and TRENTINO in the final (3-0).
- Last weekend, Knack ROESELARE won their first match in the Champion Play Off phase of the Lotto Volley League with 3-1 (28-26, 23-25, 25-17, 25-20) from Lindemans AALST. Bluenergy Daiko Volley PIACENZA lost surprisingly their away-match in the Superlega against Top Volley CISTERNA with 3-0 (25-18, 25-18, 25-20).
