In a truly exciting Olympic year, where the anticipation mounts with each passing day, as many as 12 Beach Pro Tour Futures will be taking place on European soil in May and June, with plenty of opportunities for up-and-coming as well as more established teams to secure valuable ranking points and test themselves on the international stage.

In what has become a tradition, the season will get underway in Madrid, with single-gender events due to take place on consecutive weeks in mid-May at the state-of-the-art Parque Deportivo Puerta de Hierro in the Spanish capital city.

The season will continue with events in Italy, with Cervia a regular ‘hotspot’ on the international Beach Volleyball map and Battipaglia welcoming an event of this profile for the first time after 2023 coincided with the successful delivery of a WEVZA zonal event. After last year’s highly successful premiere, the Beach Pro Tour will return to Spiez, Switzerland, in late May – early June.

Multiple events have been confirmed for June as well. The Polish city of Krakow will join the list of first-time venues and hosts, with single-gender events scheduled on two consecutive weeks, just as with the season openers in Madrid. Futures will be taking place for a second straight year in Lille, France and Messina, Italy – and the Beach Pro Tour will stop for the first time in Bulgaria’s seaside resort of Sveti Vlas, right by the Black Sea, for a double gender event scheduled for the same weekend as the men’s Futures in Krakow.

For the second half of June, Beach Volleyball players can also look forward to a journey to the idyllic Ios Island in the Aegean Sea, another place which has established itself as a Beach Volleyball ‘hotspot’ over the past few years. That same week, from June 20 to 23, a men’s single-gender competition will be taking place in Geneva as well, thus doubling the number of events on Swiss soil confirmed for this season so far.

This first series of events across Europe is only the start to an incredibly busy and exciting season including major highlights such as the Nations Cup Final, the Olympic Games and EuroBeachVolley. Negotiations and discussions with National Federations and their local partners continue to provide teams and fans with another summer filled with Beach Volleyball action of the finest level!
