Beach Volleyball players from across Europe and even further afar can look forward to more opportunities to test themselves on the international stage and to collect valuable ranking points following the addition of two more Future events to the calendar previously released for the 2023 season.

A double-gender event will be taking place in Czechia’s second largest city, Brno, and run there from August 24 to 27, 2023. Brno has already been a hotspot on the international Beach Volleyball map for many years, especially by hosting an impressive number of continental age-group championships. Two years ago, Brno welcomed an international event as well – a women’s only 2-Star competition. With Czech teams among the most competitive ones in Europe, they will for sure relish the opportunity to play on home soil before family and friends – and the always passionate and knowledgeable local audience.

Next to the event in Brno, the FIVB and CEV have confirmed the organisation of a Future event in southern Italy, more specifically in Corigliano Rossano, where men and women will be competing from August 31 to September 3, 2023. The first such event organised in this city means that Italy will be hosting as many as four Futures throughout the summer of 2023 – with other such competitions due to take place in Cervia, Lecce, and Messina.

Moreover, the previously announced event in Myslowice, Poland, has been cancelled due to force majeure. Further to these latest changes, the number of Future events on European soil for 2023 stands at 16.
