Team Geghashen and Team Gyumri crowned Armenia’s U18 national champions

The 2022 edition of the U18 Beach Volleyball Armenian National Championships took place this past week at the iconic Grand Sports Complex in Yerevan, with participation of 12 teams per gender, thus accounting for a fierce and exciting competition.

Team Geghashen claimed top honours from the women’s tournament, after edging Team BMD 2-1 in the gold medal match. The girls of Team Avan secured third place, as they routed Team KhMOMM in straight sets.

Team Gyumri beat Yerevan HMMD 2-1 to claim the men’s U18 crown. Team KhMOMM finished third after emerging victorious from the ‘small final’ with Team Hnaberd (2-0).

The organisers of the championship and the President of the Volleyball Federation of Armenia (VFA), Mr Hrachya Muradyan, presented all medallists with cups and diplomas, with the gold medal winners receiving also special presents provided by the VFA partner company Arena Sport.
