As the CEV Champions League Volley Men group stage has come to an end, the top-performing teams have shifted their focus back to domestic league battles. Poland’s representatives, who all completed their European campaigns undefeated, are set for routine victories, while Perugia looks to maintain dominance in Italy after consecutive defeats. Meanwhile, in Germany, BR Volleys and Lüneburg aim to build on their European performances.

Polish squads completed the CEV Champions League Volley Group Stage in the perfect way, with Jastrzebski Wegiel, Aluron CMC Warta-Zawiercie, and Projekt Warszawa all advancing to the #CLVolleyM quarterfinals without a single loss. Now, they turn their attention to the 23rd round of the PlusLiga, where Jastrzębski Węgiel continues to lead the standings with an impressive record. Regardless of the weekend results, they will remain in first place, while Zawiercie and Warszawa closely chase. With relatively easy matchups ahead, all three teams are expected to secure victories and solidify their positions in the charts.

Sir Sicoma Monini Perugia, the dominant force of #CLVolleyM, look to continue their domestic supremacy. The Italian powerhouse has been nearly flawless this season, both in national and continental competitions. Even though they failed against Turkish Halkbank Ankara in their last battle, the Perugia side completed Group D on top and secured their place in the quarterfinals. They also started the national season quite well, however, after a perfect 15-0 start, they suffered two consecutive defeats recently. Therefore, they will definitely seek a comfortable victory this weekend against Taranto in the 18th round of the Italian SuperLega, otherwise, they might drop to a lower place in the overall standings.

German clubs, Berlin Recycling Volleys and SVG Lüneburg both secured second-place finishes in their #CLVolleyM groups and now return to the Bundesliga with high aspirations. Losing only four sets in total prior to this week, Berlin Recycling Volleys currently lead the standings with a perfect record and will look to maintain their top spot with a convincing performance in the 19th leg. Their closest follower, Lüneburg side will also face a relatively weaker opponent, making them the clear pre-favorite of the match.

With the conclusion of the #CLVolleyM group stage, the leading teams now concentrate on strengthening their league positions before the next continental rounds. Poland’s three powerhouses will aim to remain in control, while Perugia will secure a strong victory in Italy after two weeks. For now, the only focus will be on the national battles, and we will see if they let any surprising results happen.
