The reigning Champions League Volley Women champion, Imoco Volley Conegliano has made history this past weekend with their seventh Coppa Italia title, sixth in a row, defeating Vero Volley Milano in the Final in Bologna.

The star-studded Conegliano has now become the most successful team in the competition's history, overcoming Bergamo and Ravena, holders of six titles each. Despite a straight sets win (3-0 ;37-35, 25-20, 25-20), Imoco had to fend off Paola Egonu's Milano to keep their win streak alive for the season and cement their place in the history books.

Sweden's Isabelle Haak was the standout player among all the stars on the court, managing an impressive performance that got her the MVP title at the end of it (21 pts: 19 kills, on block, one ace).

Now well into their first season with Conegliano, Brazil's superstar Gabi (15 pts) and China's legend, Zhu Ting (11 pts), were more than just supporting acts, contributing significantly to their team's success.

On the other side of the net, Paola Egonu put out yet another top shelf performance and was the highest scorer in the match with 24 pts, not enough to steer the game in Milano's favour.

Both teams are continuing their journey in the CEV Champions League Volley, with Milano looking confident to claim a quarterfinals spot after winning their first game in the play off against Schwerin, while Imoco is waiting for their opponent in the quarterfinals.
