CV GRAN CANARIA resume their European journey on Wednesday night with a home match against Nova KBM Branik MARIBOR scheduled for the 16th Finals of the women’s CEV Cup 2022.

In the end, they are a team that is going to make us work hard, that works well in blocking. At times, we shine and at others, we find it more difficult. If we find that balance, we will be able to compete at the level that this competition requires. What we have to be clear about is that one bad afternoon can leave us out of Europe.”

‘Insert coin and try again’. CV GRAN CANARIA previously featured in the early rounds of the CEV Champions League and now wish to achieve more success in the CEV Cup. Since the start of the current season, CV GRAN CANARIA have shown that they are among the top contenders for the title in the Superliga. However, they are still in the process of finding some stability in their game. To this extent, they will have a real test in the CEV Cup against Nova KBM Branik MARIBOR. They are some sort of an eminence in Slovenian Volleyball, as it is the team with the most titles from domestic competitions in their country. However, last season they lost in the final of the Slovenian league to Calcit KAMNIK.
