Easy Victories For Eczacibasi and VakifBank, No Surprises in Italy

This weekend, the two SuperFinalist of the #CLVolleyW had no trouble winning their clashes with a clear score of 3-0. At the same time, the quarterfinal stage was started in Italy, and the teams who finished the main season in the first four places took their first victory.

One of the SuperFinalists of this year, Eczacibasi Dynavit Istanbul, faced Bolu Belediyespor in the 24th round of the Turkish Sultanlar League. Eczacibasi side played a superior game from beginning to end and became victorious in three sets: (3-0: 25-18, 25-23, 25-17).

Turkish Saliha Sahin became the most productive player on the winning side with 12 points, followed by Croatian Samanta Fabris and Belgian Laura Heyrman, who scored 11 apiece.

Giovanni Guidetti’s squad let no surprises happen throughout the match and took a three-set victory (3-0: 25-21, 25-10, 25-23).

Turkish opposite Alexia Ioana Carutasu led her team fort his comfortable victory with 18 points, including five blocks. Her compatriot Derya Cebecioglu was the other player who scored in double digits in VakifBank (10).

The Italian Serie A1 Women continued with the first battles of the quarterfinals. While A. Carraro Imoco Volley Conegliano and Savino Del Bene Scandicci received wins in straight sets, there was an immense fight between Vero Volley Milano and Trasportipesanti Casalmaggiore.

The first quarterfinal match between Reale Mutua Fenera Chieri and Igor Gorgonzola Novara was postponed to a later date (19th of April).
