News
As they slowly but surely complete their roster for the 2026/2027 season with some major ‘coups’, #CLVolleyW runners-up Eczacibasi Dynavit have added Serbian outside hitter Aleksandra Uzelac and German middle blocker Camilla Weitzel to their ranks.
Commenting on the transfer of Uzelac, General Manager Bilun Yilmaz highlighted both the player’s character and competitive mindset: “Aleksandra is a player who stands out not only with her energy, but also with the character she brings onto the court. She has already taken important steps in her career and is very close to establishing herself at the highest level of the game. We believe that within a structure aiming for championships, she will elevate her potential even further. Her competitive mentality and openness to development will bring dynamism to our team.”
Born in 2004, Uzelac has previously played for Bagljaš 023, OK Železničar, Fluminense FC and Zeren Spor Kulübü throughout her career. Uzelac achieved significant success with Serbia’s youth national teams and was named Best Outside Hitter at the U19 European Championship in 2022. She has also begun representing the Serbian senior national team in major international competitions, including the Volleyball Nations League and the CEV EuroVolley.
Standing at 188 cm, the Serbian outside hitter has gained valuable experience competing in Serbia, Brazil, and Türkiye. With her powerful attacking game and international experience, Uzelac will compete for success in the orange and white jersey in the upcoming season.
