The Italian teams of #CLVolleyM will kick off their season this weekend with the first week of the Italian Super League. Meanwhile, Poland and Germany’s elite clubs, who have already started their seasons, will look to deliver strong performances against their relatively weaker opponents.
One of the strongest leagues in the continent, Italian SuperLega will start with the first battles this weekend, and all three CEV Champions League Volley squads will start their national journey. Sir Sicoma Monini Perugia, who took the national Super Cup last week, will host Verona in the first leg. The champions of the last edition will definitely aim to defend their title, and the goal is simply to take a clear victory.
Likewise, the other Italian representatives in #CLVolleyM, Vero Volley Monza and Allianz Milano will hold comfortable games: Monza will play against the newbie of the league, Grottazzolina, and Milano’s opponent will be Taranto. Of course, both teams will seek to have a good beginning and show how ready they are for the upcoming season.
In Poland, everything is going quite well for the #CLVolleyM squad Projekt Warszawa: They have won all of their four games so far, and they are currently in the lead with 12 points in total. They do not have any battles this weekend, and they start to get ready for their next huge clash against Jastrzebski Wegiel.
For the remaining two #CLVolleyM clubs, Jastrzebski Wegiel and Aluron CMC Warta Zawiercie will take the court against GKS Katowice and Rzeszow, respectively, in the third round of the Polish PlusLiga. The Jastrzebski side passed the first two legs without any difficulties, but this was not the case for Zawiercie since they failed against Lublin in the first week. Therefore, both teams will surely put a great effort into the court to be part of the leadership race in the first weeks.
In the second round of the German 1. Bundesliga, all #CLVolleyM teams will want a secure win since each of them will play against relatively weaker opponents. Everything went well for Berlin Recycling Volleys so far, beating their national and continental rival Helios Grizzlys Giesen last week. Now, they will focus on their next game against Herrsching, and the aim is surely to maintain this performance.
As the first round of Italy’s SuperLega begins and top teams in Poland and Germany face more manageable opponents, the #CLVolleyM squads are eager to set the tone for their seasons. With Perugia, Monza, and Milano taking on their opening challenges, and Polish and German clubs aiming to extend their winning streaks, the weekend promises solid performances as these elite teams look to build early momentum.
