This weekend, the most elite teams of the continent took the court to secure their place in the national league semifinals in Italy, and the last spots have been filled in Poland and Germany. Likewise, the top four squad of the Turkish Sultanlar League will start to fight in the playoff stage today.

The undefeated leader of the national season, this year’s SuperFinalist A. Carraro Imoco Volley Conegliano continued their way as expected: They faced Aeroitalia Smi Roma in the second quarterfinal game in Italian playoff, and with a clear victory in straight sets (3-0: 25-17, 25-13, 25-21), Italian expert Daniele Santarelli’s squad advanced to the next round.

Bici Erblira (14) was the only player scoring in double digits on the losing side.

Similarly, as expected, things went quite well for the second CEV Champions League Volley SuperFinalist, Allianz Vero Volley Milano. Despite the second set, they played a superior game against Wash4green Pinerolo (3-1: 25-13, 22-25, 25-6, 25-21) and booked their tickets for the Italian semifinals by winning the series 2-0.

Italian opposite Paola Egonu once again showed why she is one of the best players in the world: She produced a total of 27 points, with a 51% attack percentage, five aces, and two blocks. Outside hitters Miriam Sylla (14) and Helena Cazaute (13) also helped their team clinch a victory.

Grupa Azoty Chemik Police, Bielsko-Biala, and Developres Rzeszow have already managed to become a semifinalist in Poland, and we all watched a huge competition between Lodz squads for the remaining spot. Budowlani side, lastly, completed the quarterfinal stage successfully after having a three-set win against their important opponent.

Things also became clear in Germany: While SSc Palmbers Schwerin, SC Potsdam, and Allianz MTV Stuttgart won their quarterfinal series, Dresdner also followed the same trend and became the last semifinalist by defeating VC Wiesbaden by3-1.

Today, another huge competition is about to start in Türkiye: After the completion of the regular phase, Fenerbahce Istanbul, Eczacibasi Dynavit Istanbul, VakifBank Istanbul, and THY Istanbul will start to fight to advance to the finals in the Turkish Sultanlar League. The semifinals will start today, where Fenerbahce faces THY, and Eczacibasi and VakifBank will take the court against each other.

Now, everything is getting more challenging, especially the biggest national competition in the continent. Imoco and Milano let no surprises happen in Italy, and the matchups were completed for the semifinal stage in Germany and Poland. In addition, the huge games between the top four Turkish squads in the semifinals are definitely worth following today.
