London Giants Volleyball Club men’s team crowned a remarkable 2025/2026 season by winning the National Cup Final, adding the trophy to an already historic year for the club.

Earlier in the season, the men’s team secured first place in the English National Super League regular season for the first time, before carrying that momentum into the Final Four at Crystal Palace National Sports Centre, one of the club’s home venues and one of the most iconic Volleyball stages in the UK, where they continued their strong campaign at the highest level of domestic competition.

Finishing the year as Super League regular season winners, Final Four champions, and National Cup champions, the season marked an important step forward not only for the club, but also as a reflection of the rising standards and competitiveness of Volleyball across the country.

For the women’s programme, the season was equally special. The women’s first team finished top of both competitions they entered, the London League Premiership and National League Division One, earning promotion to the Women’s Super League for next season. Even more impressively, they remained unbeaten throughout the season, only dropping two sets across both competitions, a reflection of the consistency, discipline, and commitment shown by the entire squad.

Beyond results, the club continues to focus on something bigger: helping Volleyball grow sustainably in the UK. Its grassroots and junior provision has grown significantly in recent years, with more young athletes joining the sport and stronger pathways being created between junior, community, and elite Volleyball across various parts of the capital, providing accessible training opportunities for all. At the same time, through its elite programme, London Giants continues working to help professionalise the sport further, raising standards, improving visibility, and creating an environment where athletes can compete at a higher level.

One of the most encouraging developments this season has been seeing more schools, young players, and people outside the traditional Volleyball community attending Super League matches. Watching school groups come to live games and seeing growing interest from wider audiences and hard-to-reach groups shows that Volleyball is reaching beyond its usual circles, and that is one of the most important victories of all.

As Çisel Ormancı, Founder and CEO of London Giants, says: “Success means more when it helps the whole game grow. Winning matters, but what matters even more is creating stronger opportunities for the next generation and helping Volleyball become a bigger part of the sporting culture in the UK. Coming from Türkiye, where Volleyball is deeply rooted in everyday sporting life and women’s Volleyball has such strong visibility, I grew up seeing how powerful this sport can be in bringing people together. That experience shaped how I see the future of Volleyball in the UK and my belief that the sport here has enormous potential.

As a woman in sport, it is especially important to continue creating stronger pathways and bigger opportunities for female athletes. I am incredibly grateful to our players, staff, volunteers, supporters, sponsors, and partners. This season and these achievements belong to all of us.”
