The players of OK BUDVA have crowned themselves men’s national champions of Montenegro for the sixth consecutive season. As it had happened last year, the team from Budva concluded the season with a 3-1 victory (25-13, 28-26, 23-25, 25-18) over Budućnost Volley in the final series, thus sealing their triumph via the second match held in the country’s capital, Podgorica. With a 3-1 series scoreline, just like the previous season and the 2020-2021 edition of the competition, OK BUDVA secured the EPCG Super League title for the sixth consecutive time, while Budućnost suffered their fourth consecutive setback in the finals.
The trophy for the winners of the EPCG Super League 2024 was presented to Budva’s captain, Balša Radunović, by the President of the Volleyball Federation of Montenegro (OSCG), Cvetko Pajković. The gold medals were awarded to the players and coaching staff of OK BUDVA by OSCG Secretary General, Ivan Bošković, and the acting secretary at the helm of the Secretariat for Sports of the Capital City, Miloš Antić.
The silver medals were presented to the players and members of the coaching staff of Budućnost Volley by the OSCG Competitions Director, Nikola Pješčić, and the President of OK Budućnost Volley, Nikola Racković.
The referee duo responsible for overseeing the last round of the championship series, Slobodan Kovačević and Sonja Simonovska, as well as the match supervisor, Anka Ivanović, were awarded medals by Mr Pješčić as well.
