Olympiacos start their #CLVolleyW journey with a home win

Olympiacos PIRAEUS began their Women’s CEV Champions League Volley 2026 campaign with a solid 3–0 win over Asterix AVO BEVEREN at the Melina Merkouri Rentis Hall.

From the first serve, Olympiacos appeared prepared. They began the opening set with a 4–0 lead, showing clear determination and energy. Their serves were accurate, their attacks consistent, and their defense made it hard for the visitors to get comfortable. The home team maintained this pace throughout the set and won it easily, 25–14.

The second set was tighter in the opening stages, but Olympiacos slowly pulled away. Asterix tried to find their rhythm, yet the Greek side kept their composure and pushed ahead point by point, closing the set to move 2–0 up.

By the third set, the direction of the match was clear. Olympiacos stayed focused, kept the pressure on, and finished the match without any problems, winning in straight sets in front of their home crowd

Yasmine Abderrahim was named MVP of the Match, leading with 13 points, 1 kill block, and 1 ace. Her consistency and presence at the net were key to Olympiacos’s control throughout the game.
