PAOK come from behind to edge Kralovo Pole in #CEVCupW thriller

AC PAOK THESSALONIKI have made a first step towards qualifying for the 8th Finals of the women’s CEV Cup 2023 by edging Kralovo Pole BRNO from the Czech Republic by 3-2 in Thessaloniki – doing so after coming back from two sets down.
PAOK caught a very promising start and had the lead at the beginning of the first set until the score stood at 12-9. However, the visitors reversed this trend and stormed to a comprehensive 25-14 set win. At the beginning of the second set, the two teams initially exchanged the lead back and forth, however BRNO were able to break away and easily win the set by 25-15. In the third set, the course of the match changed as PAOK edged ahead and reduced their deficit courtesy of a 25-22 win. In the fourth set, the hosts continued to play at the same high pace, reaching a ten-point advantage at 18-8, before the set ended at 25-10. In the tie-break, the two teams went together until 7-6, but PAOK was able to seal the deal at 15-11 and complete their comeback.
Polish opposite hitter Katarzyna Zaroslinska-Krol was the best player of the match, especially in the crucial times for PAOK, scoring 20 points in the process.
