As the domestic league season comes near its end, #CLVolleyM semifinalists are preparing for pivotal matches in their national competitions this weekend. With the Polish Cup Final Four, Italy’s SuperLega semifinal playoffs, and Türkiye’s league placements underway, Jastrzębski, Warta Zawiercie, and Perugia must balance their European ambitions with high-stakes domestic showdowns.

In Poland, the stage is set for the highly anticipated Polish Cup Final Four, featuring both of the country’s #CLVolleyM semifinalists. Jastrzębski Węgiel, the reigning PlusLiga champions, will face LUK Lublin in the semifinals, while Aluron CMC Warta Zawiercie will take on PGE Projekt Warszawa. The winners of these matchups will battle for the coveted national trophy on Sunday in what promises to be a thrilling final.

For Aluron CMC Warta Zawiercie, this weekend represents another chance to reinforce their remarkable ascent. Last year, they clinched their first-ever Polish Cup by defeating Jastrzębski 3-1 in a memorable final. They entered the Polish Cup with a dominant 3-0 quarterfinal win over ChKS Chełm and remain a serious title contender.

"The previous season was amazing for us, and the Polish Cup was such a great moment, because after this success, the team started to believe in itself a lot. Even though no one really bet on us before the tournament and we weren't the main favorites there, we managed to play well and this year we also hope to play good volleyball, and we'll see what it brings.”

Captain of Aluron CMC Warta-Zawiercie

In Italy, the SuperLega playoff semifinals continue with second-leg matchups. Sir Sicoma Monini Perugia, the #CLVolleyM semifinalist of the country, will look to extend their lead over Cucine Lube Civitanova after a commanding 3-0 win in the opener. On the other side, regular season champion Itas Trentino will face Piacenza once more. Although Trentino leads the series, Piacenza pushed them to the limit in a five-set thriller, proving that nothing is guaranteed on the road to the final.

Meanwhile, in Türkiye, Halkbank Ankara's domestic campaign took a hit after falling once again to Alanya Belediyespor in the 5th–8th placement round of the Efeler League. Their final national ranking will be determined after the completion of this series, as they regroup ahead of the #CLVolleyM Final Four.

This weekend marks a critical juncture for Europe’s top volleyball clubs as they pursue success on multiple fronts. In Poland, both Jastrzębski and Warta-Zawiercie are set for intense battles in the Polish Cup Final Four, with the potential for a rematch of last year’s dramatic final. In Italy, Perugia look to build on their dominant playoff form, while Trentino and Piacenza continue their hard-fought semifinal series. With domestic trophies and European glory at stake, this weekend's matches will be a defining test of resilience, depth, and championship character for #CLVolleyM semifinalists.
