The fourth matchday of the 4th round of the CEV Champions League Men is upon us, so we are getting back into the groove with the CEV Champions League Men Fantasy, after the first rounds saw a fairly successful performance from our team, with its ups and downs.

The first-of-its-kind experience for CEV, gives fans the opportunity to become the coach of their own team across the men’s and women’s European premium competitions. Fans can pick a team of twelve players with specific assigned positions inside a dedicated team budget of 100 million euros.

Haven’t you already signed in and chosen your team? Don’t worry, we got you covered.

So, the rules are quite simple and can be found here. To start, you must select a squad of 12 players with an initial budget of 100 million fantasy euros. The initial squad selection must consist of: three outside hitters, three middle blockers, two setters, two liberos and two opposites. You must select 7 players from your squad of 12 players to form your starting roster for each game week.

Of course, the risk of having a player not featuring on the court is high, so you will also have five reserves in the team, who can come on, provided the stars are not playing. We have learnt and adapted and now we get ready to our fourth draft in the CEV Champions League Men Fantasy.

KEY STARS

Norbert Huber (€12m): The Polish star was the highest-scoring middle blocker in the first four rounds, with 197 points, 54 more than any other player. With the Polish side sweeping their opponents, Huber, a mainstay in our team so far for the first part of the competition, has been a mainstay for Jastrebszki Wegiel and will aim to add even more points on the board, averaging 49.3 points in the Fantasy game over the first four rounds.

Dick Kooy (€7m): The Dutch veteran has been fantastic for Halkbank Ankara this season and will be relied upon in a crucial match against St Nazaire. Both sides are on two wins, with Halkbank holding a two-point advantage in the standings and face a must-win match. This is where Kooy, with his experience, thrives. He’s the second best outside hitter in the Fantasy game, with 210 points and is coming after a 49-point performance in the previous match.

Ferre Reggers (€9m): With an affordable price tag, Reggers has worked wonders this season for his owners, being the player with the largest number of points scored in the Fantasy game, 299. He has an average of 74.8 points per week and it is virtually impossible to overlook him, especially as his team, Milano, needs to win against Roeselare in this match. In the first match between these two teams, the Italian side went the high road and won in five sets, therefore another tough battle is expected, where Reggers should make the difference.

KEY DIFFERENTIAL

Earvin Ngapeth (€13.5m): Earvin Ngapeth is a standout differential pick in fantasy volleyball following his move to Fenerbahce for the Champions League during the Christmas break. With a price tag of 13.5 million, Ngapeth's ability to excel in both offensive and defensive roles makes him a consistent points scorer. His experience and leadership on the court can be pivotal in Fenerbahce's Champions League campaign, giving fantasy managers an edge with a player capable of delivering standout performances against top-tier competition.
