Trentino wins CEV Cup QuarterFinals Opener, three more matches on the way

The CEV Cup Men Quarterfinals kicked off yesterday, with reigning Champions League Volley Champions, Trentino Itas getting a very important win away from home against Chaumont VB 52.

It took the Italians four sets to overcome the French, having conceded the opening set. From then on however, they managed to establish their dominance and close the match in emphatic manner(1-3: 25-23, 21-25, 17-25, 19-25), continuing to be the favourites for a semifinal spot and the title further down the line.

The remaining three quarterfinals of the Home Leg round are taking place today, 12th February, with big names in European club volleyball looking to secure a head start for a spot in the next round.
