After 2023 success, CEV and BPER join forces to deliver Italian stages of CEV EuroVolley 2026 Men
News
Following the highly successful experience made through CEV EuroVolley 2023 where the two parties had already joined forces for the delivery of Europe’s flagship competition for national teams, the European Volleyball Confederation (CEV) and BPER will team up again for the CEV EuroVolley 2026 Men, with BPER signed on as an Official Partner of the event and more specifically as the Official Bank for the stages of the championship organised on Italian soil.
The 2023 edition of the CEV EuroVolley was somewhat historic, since Italy did play host to both the women’s as well as to the men’s competition – with major milestones that have gone down in Volleyball history such as the opening match contested at the Arena di Verona. This time around, the CEV and BPER will join forces for the men’s event – which will get underway this coming September 10 with another open-air opening match, this time at Piazza del Plebiscito in Napoli. The competition will subsequently continue in Modena, which is regarded as Italy’s Volleyball ‘Mecca’, and Torino and it will reach its climax at the state-of-the-art Santagiulia Arena in Milano, where the semis and medal matches will be played in late September.
The further expansion of the partnership from the previous edition is testament to the unique appeal and aura that goes with EuroVolley – a true Volleyball party played across four host countries in each gender – Italy, Bulgaria, Finland, and Romania for the 2026 men’s event – involving the top 24 teams in Europe. This time around the stakes will be incredibly high – since the winners will not only call themselves the newly crowned European champions, but they will also secure their participation in the Volleyball competition of the Los Angeles 2028 Olympic Games!
The CEV is currently working on securing additional partners for the CEV EuroVolley 2026 and this agreement is a first momentous step in elevating the profile of its flagship competition even further.
BPER is one of Italy’s largest banking groups in total deposits and footprint, with some 2,000 branches operating in almost all Italian regions, approximately 23,000 employees and about six million customers.
