Romania will host this year’s #EuroVolleyU18W, a competition that will bring together the future stars of European and world Volleyball, from July 1 to 13. The top 16 teams in Europe in this age category will start their campaign in the group phase hosted in Blaj (Pool I) and Heraklion, Greece (Pool II). The semi-finals and finals will also take place at the Alba Blaj Arena, the state-of-the-art and modern hall built by local authorities in the Transylvanian town, which has developed into Romania’s major volleyball hub following the unprecedented success achieved by CS Alba Volei.

There will be nine days of high-level action, nine days in which Blaj will once again demonstrate its incredible love for Volleyball. Admission to the matches will be free, and supporters are encouraged to come and support the Romanian team as well as all other youngsters competing in Blaj. The home girls need all forms of encouragement in such a unique tournament for Romania – the first time the Final Round of an age-group European Championship has taken place in the Balkan country.

All Pool I matches can be watched on the Romanian Volleyball Federation’s official YouTube channel, while the semifinals and finals will be broadcast live on TVR Sport. Romania will make their debut on July 1 against Spain – with subsequent matches against Serbia, Slovenia, the Netherlands, Croatia, Belgium and titleholders Italy.

On Sunday, during a press conference, the trophy that will be awarded to the winners after the final scheduled for July 13 will be presented to media and fans alike.
