CEV EuroVolley 2026 Women trophy takes centre stage in Baku

As part of the promotional activities organised for the CEV EuroVolley 2026 Women, the Azerbaijan Volleyball Federation successfully delivered the Official Trophy Presentation and a public Volleyball Festival in Baku on July 7, coinciding with World Volleyball Day.

The day began with a press conference at the Volleyball Centre of the Ministry of Youth and Sports. The official CEV EuroVolley Women 2026 Trophy and the tournament mascot Ace were presented to the media. Azerbaijan Volleyball Federation President Shahin Bagirov, head coach of the Azerbaijan women’s national team Faig Garayev, and team captain Ayshan Abdulazimova addressed the media representatives and answered questions about the upcoming championship.

Following the press conference, the national team players and invited guests participated in an official photo session with the tournament trophy.

Later in the day, the Trophy Tour continued at the Maiden Tower, one of Baku’s most iconic landmarks. The players and mascot Ace took part in a promotional photo session, while local residents and visitors had the opportunity to view the trophy and take commemorative photos.

The celebrations concluded with a Volleyball Festival held in front of Deniz Mall. Dedicated EuroVolley Women 2026 photo zones and Volleyball courts were set up, creating an interactive fan experience. Visitors met members of the Azerbaijani national team, took photos with the championship trophy, and participated in various Volleyball activities.

To further promote the event, fans who shared their festival photos on social media using the official hashtag #EuroVolleyW received tickets to CEV EuroVolley Women 2026 matches.

The championship trophy is being presented successively in each host country. After its visits to Sweden and Czechia, the trophy arrived in Azerbaijan and will move on to Türkiye following the completion of the promotional activities in Baku.
