The Golden #EuroLeagueM came alive once again with an exhilarating showdown on the horizon as Croatia and North Macedonia were prepared to lock horns in a highly anticipated clash. Croatia secured the first win in this year's edition of this competition with a 3-2 win (20-25, 25-17, 25-23, 15-25, 15-13).
From the first serve, it was evident that both teams were ready to give their all. The match started off with an early lead from North Macedonia and take kept a safe distance from the Croatians by 2-3 points. Later on, their advantage began to grow and Macedonians closed the first set by 20-25.
In the second set, Croatia completely turned their game, for the better. With five killer blocks and two aces, they were the better team on the field which helped them close the set with a nice advantage of eight points (25-17).
Croatia continued with their dominance in the third set. Although it was mostly played point-by-point, the Croatians had a better performance with three killer blocks and three aces and closed this set by 25-23.
In the fourth set everything changed in the favor of the Macedonians. It started off as a cat-and-mouse type of play but soon enough Macedonians began their series of blocks and had six points of advantage. They managed to close the set with ten points of difference (15-25).
The last set was the most important one for both teams and in the end, it was Croatia who emerged victorious, clinching the match in a hard-fought battle.
