Grande Italy wins Olympic Gold in Paris 2024 with dominant Performance against the USA

Italy's women indoor volleyball team has made history today beating the USA in the Final to win their first ever Olympic Gold. The Italians have been in hot form throughout the tournament and today's performance confirmed they are the number one team in the world, dismissing the USA in straight sets, 3-0 (25-18, 25-20, 25-17).

The Gold won today is Italy's first ever Olympic medal, having failed to make it to the medals' rounds in all seven previous attempts. In Paris however, they were almost flawless, winning all their six matches and dropping just one set along the way.

Superstar player, Paola Egonu raised to the occasion once again, leading her team in attack with 22 points and 12 points more than any other player on the court in the Final.
