The stage is set for a thrilling conclusion to the 2025 CEV Volleyball European Silver League Men, as the two top teams prepare to battle it out for the coveted title in a two-legged final on July 3 and July 6. After a month of intense competition featuring eight ambitious national teams, only the best remain, each with a chance to write a new chapter in their country’s volleyball history.
So far, Sweden are the only unbeaten team in the competition and have won the league round, with six wins in six matches, dropping a single set so far, while their opponents in the final, Hungary, have conceded a single match, coincidentally against Sweden, in the penultimate match of the league round.
The two sides have met in Austria, on 28 June, one week ago, with Sweden thoroughly dominating the match and securing a clear 3:0 win, in flawless fashion, taking the first set, 25:15, and the next ones, 25:21 and 25:17, with their win never in doubt.
The final will be played over two legs, with each team hosting one match, ensuring both sides have the chance to draw on home support. With promotion to the Golden League and a place among Europe’s elite at stake, both finalists will be eager to seize the moment.
The first match will take place in Kecskemet on 3 July, at 18:30 CEST, with the title being awarded in Umea, Sweden, on 6 July, at 17:00 CEST.
