The competition format of the U20 Beach Volleyball European Championships for 2026 will follow the competition principles introduced since the 2025 season, meaning that it will consist of 2 competition stages, incorporating 2 qualifying rounds and a Final.

More specifically the competition will start with the First-round Qualifiers run by Zonal Associations, and will be followed by a second stage - the Finals - which will have two legs, i.e. a Second-round Qualifier (if needed) and the Main Draw.

Zonal Associations have the ability to run their own qualifiers for #EuroBeachVolleyU20, thereby providing youngsters with an additional opportunity to play international matches, gain valuable experience, and pursue their dreams of a career in the sport.

Each qualifier allocates two (2) direct spots to the Finals to the top two ranked National Federations, provided that a minimum of 40% of the National Federations belonging to the respective Zonal Association participated in the event.
