Cucine Lube CIVITANOVA - TRENTINO Itas

  • Cucine Lube is the opponent that Trentino Volley has faced the most times: 98, with a 53-45 record in favor of the team from Marche, but this season the trend is yellow-blue thanks to three victories in as many matches played: two in the SuperLega (3-0 on December 3 at the Eurosuole Forum, and 3-1 on February 14 at the ilT quotidiano Arena) and one in the first leg of the Champions League (3-1 with scores of 25-17, 16-25, 25-18, 25-23).
  • Competing in a semifinal against Civitanova has now become a constant, even in the international field; in total, Trentino Volley and Cucine Lube have played twelve semifinal matches against each other, distributed in this way: once in the Club World Championship (2021), three in the Champions League (2009, 2016 and 2024), four in the Play Off Scudetto (2010, 2019, 2021, 2022), three in the Coppa Italia (2016, 2019 and 2020) and one in the Supercoppa italiana (2020).
  • Trento's balance sheet is of four passages of the round and seven eliminations. The Club of via Trener has managed to prevail in thirteen of the forty-two matches played on enemy court, conquering the Eurosuole Forum in four of the last eleven circumstances, also taking into account the victories in the Play Off on 28 March 2021 and 14 April 2022 and the one in the previous regular season (21 January 2023).

Cucine Lube CIVITANOVA

  • After three consecutive losses, including the first leg match played in Trento, Civitanova returned to victory last Sunday by winning Game 3 of the Italian SuperLega play-off quarterfinals at the tie break, vs Monza.
  • With this victory, the Italian vice champions reopened the series, but Monza is still leading 2-1.
  • Another positive aspect, the return in the starting six of Ivan Zaytsev, after more than a month of stop due to a muscle problem.
  • After playing all season as a receiver, Zaytsev played as opposite, with Adis Lagumdzija started from the bench.
  • A big attendance is expecting at the Eurosuole forum in Civitanova Marche, for this match that last season was also the final of the Italian Super League.
  • Ivan Zaytsev: "It will be a 'life or death' match like the one won in the tie break with Monza last Sunday in the Italian Super League was. We must win two games in one, to achieve the qualification to Champions League SuperFinal, this means the whole roster is needed. After the 1-3 defeat of the first leg we can say that Civitanova has nothing to lose now, so we will take the court with the enthusiasm sparked by Sunday's victory, and confident for performing our best volleyball. We will not have to manage the game, but it will be an attacking test."

TRENTINO Itas

  • Fabio Soli (Trentino Itas Head Coach): "The result of the first leg is undoubtedly positive but it only serves to keep our chances of qualifying intact in view of the match to be played on Thursday in Civitanova Marche. To aspire to secure the pass for the SuperFinals we will have to put on the field the same attitude shown in Trento last Wednesday: humble, determined and resilient against a very high level opponent which it demonstrated, just a few days ago against Monza in game 3 of Italian Play Off  quarterfinals, how dangerous and always alive he can be in front of his supporters."

Cucine Lube CIVITANOVA

  • Blengini (coach): "From the technical side, TRENTINO deserved the qualification, as they performed a very good level of volleyball in both games. Tonight our big regret is for the bad start we had in the second set. TRENTINO immediately took a 5 points gap, and that changed all the match history."

TRENTINO Itas

  • Michieletto: "We are very happy and proud for this achievement, as for our club it is the third Champions League Super Final scored in the past 4 years, and we made it after 2 big battles with a strong opponent, as CIVITANOVA. Tonight we were good to not give up after we lost the first set. Now we look forward with big confidence to the Super Final."
