TOURS VB - ACH Volley LJUBLJANA
- TOURS VB will play its final CEV Champions League Volley 2024 Pool B match against Ach LJUBLJANA of Slovenia. The match kicks off at 20:00 in the Salle Grenon.
- The last time Tours hosted Ljubljana was in the 2013/2014 group stage of the Champions League, which also included an Italian team (Copra Piacenza) and a Polish team (Jastrebski Wiegel)...but also a Bulgarian team (Marek Doupnitsa).
TOURS VB
- As in the previous match against Rszezow, TOURS VB's Brazilian opposite Aboubacar DRAME NETO will be in the squad, although he is still a doubt.
- Substitute opposite Julien FAGANAS is also injured (abdominal problems) and will be replaced by Clément AYA DIOKO, a product of the training centre.
- Tours are hoping to fill their arena for this decisive match for qualification for the play-offs, and will be able to count on more than 250 of the club's youngsters and their families.
ACH Volley LJUBLJANA
- Radovan Gačič (coach): "As far as we are concerned, things in Group B have been clear for us for some time, so in this game, we will try to showcase the best performance and bid farewell to this year's Champions League with a victory. We will definitely face a strong Tours team, which has already proven several times this season how exceptional they are. The players are ready and motivated to leave France with good feelings."
- Nejc Najdič (ACH Volley Ljubljana player): "Despite five losses in five games and the fact that we are without a chance for any advancement, today in Tours, we want to showcase a good performance and record the first victory in this year's Champions League. We are aware that it won't be easy, but we must strive for it and continue the season in domestic competitions on the wings of a potential victory today."

- In front of 3100 spectators, in a crazy atmosphere, Tours VB qualify for the PlayOffs.
- Mârt TAMMEARU came back after an ankle injury and played for the first time as opposite to replace Aboubacar DRAME NETO and FAGANAS.
- TAMMEARU came on the field and did 2 aces to win the 1st set.

- Radovan GADIC (Ach LJUBLJANA Head coach): "We had good moments in the sets and our opportunities, but today we truly failed to capitalize on them. More could have been achieved tonight, and we are well aware of that. For us, the competition in the Champions League is now ending. With two away games, today in France and earlier in Poland, we cannot be satisfied, but on the remaining four matches, we competently faced favored opponents. Now, we are directing all our efforts toward both domestic competitions, the Slovenian Cup, and the national championship, where the goals are clear."
- Nikola GJORGIEV (Ach LJUBLJANA captain): "This is the Champions League. It Is all about the details. I want to congratulate Tours. They played in a wonderful atmosphere. Nobody is safe here : Tours can beat anyone."
- Jan Pokeršnik (ACH Volley Ljubljana player): "It's a pity that we didn't get more today because, in my opinion, there wasn't as much of a difference as the result might initially suggest. In the tie-breaks, we weren't focused and effective enough, resulting in three convincingly lost sets. We need to calm our heads, take the positive aspects from today's match, and get back on the winning track already on Saturday in the domestic championship game."
