The CEV introduced a competition specifically designed for this age group back in 2021. To align the age limits across all under-age championships, as of the 2024 edition, this event is open to male players under the age of 22.

This ranking takes into consideration the two editions played this far – in 2022 and 2024, and points will be kept on the ranking list for a period of four years.

European ranking points are awarded to all competing national teams according to their position in the final standing of the respective competition. All points are awarded only after the respective competition has been finalised.

The current Ranking Formula was approved by the CEV Board of Administration at a meeting held in Berlin (GER) on May 17, 2019.

As per the CEV Volleyball Competitions Regulations, Art. 25 §5, “When 2 or more National Federations have the same number of points, such National Federations are ranked according to their standing in the latest CEV EuroVolley and the CEV Age Group Volleyball European Championship edition where at least one of these National Federations participated.”

If the tie cannot be broken following this provision of the CEV Volleyball Competitions Regulations, National Federations with the same number of ranking points are shown and listed in alphabetical order.

Competitions that contribute rankings points are the two most recent editions of the European Championships including the complete qualification process. Therefore each competitions ranking points are retained on the list for a 4 year period.

European ranking points are attributed to all competing national teams according to their final standing in each applicable competition. All points are only allocated upon the final completion of the respective competition.
