The second day of competition at the TEN31 Bank Innsbruck Beach Event drew to a close with exciting developments and impressive moments both on and off the court. Under a bright blue sky and in front of almost 700 spectators, Beach Volleyball duels were once again played at the highest level.

The men’s competition was particularly exciting, with the Austrian teams continuing to put in a strong performance. In a thrilling match, Maximilian Trummer and Laurenc Grössig prevailed against their compatriots Christoph Dressler/Alexander Horst, thereby securing their place in the semi-finals. The home teams Mathias Seiser/Moritz Kindl, Timo Hammarberg/Tim Berger and Florian Schnetzer/Paul Pascariuc also successfully qualified for the deciding day. This means that four Austrian teams will be fighting for a place in the final and one thing is certain: there will be an all-Austrian final – and podium – and the title will go to Austria.

Despite a great fighting spirit and strong support from the home fans, no Austrian women’s team managed to secure a place in the semi-finals. The women’s semi-finals will be contested by four nations: teams from Slovakia, Slovenia, Hungary, and Czechia will compete against each other and promise thrilling duels. Particularly exciting: last year’s finalists are back again this year, so a repeat of the 2023 gold medal match between Slovenia’s Ziva Javornik/Maja Marolt and Hungary’s Stefania Kun/Kinga Windisch could be on the cards.

Spectators can therefore look forward to an exciting final day, with thrilling decisions in both the men’s and women’s competitions that will take the tournament into the final phase.
