Beach Volley Training cement domestic supremacy to qualify for Beach Volley European Cup
News
The women’s and men’s teams representing Beach Volley Training triumphed for the sixth consecutive year to crown themselves Italy’s Beach Volleyball club champions yet again! The club from Beinasco, Turin, remains the undisputed leader in domestic events following their previous triumphs in 2019, 2021, 2022, 2023, and 2024. The only exception – 2020 – in this winning streak has to do with the outbreak of the coronavirus pandemic, which resulted in the cancellation of the event for that year.
Year after year, the numbers of the Italian Beach Volleyball Clubs Championship continue to grow. This past weekend all previous records were broken in Bibione, where the event featured 1,602 athletes, as many as 1,825 matches were played, thereby involving 70 match officials and 15 supervisors across 150 courts! These are mind-boggling numbers showing the exponential growth that the event has experienced, thus rewarding the careful planning and vision implemented by the Italian Volleyball Federation (FIPAV). In fact, every year the attention towards this important event grows, and it has now become one of the flagship competitions organised by FIPAV.
Beach Volley Training has always claimed the top honours since the introduction of the event back in 2019. After leading the rankings with both their men’s and women’s teams at the end of the first phase, the club from the Piedmont region further enriched the showcase of the sports centre ‘Le Dune’ in Beinasco. The Beach Volley Academy of Rome and CUS Torino completed the women’s podium. The Rome Beach Volley Academy finished second in the men’s event too, where I Follow Beach Volley, a club from Basiglio (Milan), claimed the bronze medals.
Courtesy of their triumph in Bibione, Beach Volley Training will participate in the third edition of the CEV Beach Volley European Cup. The club from Beinasco featured in the first two editions of the European event too. When the European Cup made its debut in 2023 in Balikesir (Türkiye), they finished fourth and fifth with their women’s and men’s teams, respectively. Last year in Montpellier (France), they had to be content with ninth and fifth places, so they will for sure return to the European stage hungry to improve on their performance from 2024.
