The International Veteran Volleyball Association (IVVA), whose main mission is to create a community of volleyball enthusiasts who enjoy the sport, whether indoors or on the beach, regardless of their age or skills, drawing on its extensive experience of many veteran tournaments held in sunny Mallorca, will be hosting a camp for amateur players as well. This will be taking place a week before its traditional main event, with outstanding names from the Beach Volleyball scene due to attend.
In early October (1-6), renowned coaches will be available on the beach for all adult categories, this time without age and performance limits. The participants will try to take their volleyball skills to the next level via the IVVA AVL Camp.
“There are an awful lot of people who come to play beach and use their previous volleyball experience and skills, but here they will have the chance to discover many things in a week under professional guidance that will allow them to enjoy the game even more. We will show them in practice the essential aspects of the game that they may not have known about, point out some of the details that unnecessarily limit them, and allow them to enjoy themselves even more on the court. They will see that even professionals do not underestimate the warm-up, which is a pre-condition for a good performance without health consequences, we will practice all game situations and techniques, we will also have room for focus on each individual according to their wishes, so that the participants can improve in some of their weaknesses or, on the contrary, improve their strengths,” summarises the content of the camp the main face of IVVA and Olympic coach Přemysl Kubala.
No one needs to worry about any language barrier, since the team of internationals and coaches of this camp consists of Sasha Mraz (CZE), Silvia Poszmikova (SVK), Blake Belcher and Heather Cukierski (CAN) and Domenico Grosso (ITA). They can handle the volleyball Babylon well.
“We hope that as many people as possible will take advantage of this offer and extend their summer and beach season. As well as the sporting side of things, the bonus will be an affordable and wonderful seaside holiday with all the fun, gastronomic and cultural experiences that go with it. In short, we offer such a unique volleyball all-inclusive experience for people with a shared passion. In Mallorca, we have found a great base for all volleyball fans, and we are convinced that it will appeal to people outside the veteran categories or even veterans who like to play but do not dare to perform in a tournament with World Championship parameters just yet,” says Adam Kubala, Vice President of IVVA.
In addition to the veterans, all beach lovers, amateur teams, individuals who want to push their game in an attractive location with ten courts by the sea can come to Mallorca this October to play volleyball, even with their families. It is not necessary to have a teammate, at the camp everyone will easily fit in with others who are ready to join the now large IVVA community that has found a volleyball paradise in Mallorca.
