CEV launches webinar series on Beach Volleyball Club Development!
News
The CEV Beach Volleyball Department has launched a series of webinars specifically focused on Beach Volleyball Club Development, which will be taking place this spring!
This innovative four-episode series will bring together experienced presenters from across Europe, thereby representing clubs of different sizes, structures, and backgrounds, all willing to share best practices, ideas, and practical tools to support the growth of Beach Volleyball clubs and competitions.
The series will start on Wednesday, May 14, with an episode where Andrea Michieli of Italy’s Beach Volley Training will discuss ‘Sand Stories: Crafting Beach Volleyball Digital Content’. Michieli will not only share his experiences from domestic competitions, but also from his club’s participation in the CEV Beach Volley European Cup in 2023 and 2024 as well.
A week later, on May 21, Per Ljunggren from Gothenburg Beach Volleyball Club (Sweden) will talk ‘Sand to Strategy: Business Model for Beach Volleyball Clubs’. Ljunggren has a wealth of experience in running a club that manages the world’s largest indoor Beach Volleyball centre in Sweden’s second largest city, which has played host to a variety of international events as well, including stops of the NEVZA Beach Volleyball Tour. His webinar will focus on actionable insights and strategies for Beach Volleyball clubs.
The subsequent episodes, scheduled for May 28 and June 4, respectively, will feature Tomislav Smuc of Slovenia and Mark Kontopoulos of England as the leading speakers. Smuc’s webinar will run under the title ‘Courts that Work: Facilities Management and Operations for Beach Volleyball Clubs’, with the European Beach Volleyball Commission (EBVC) President sharing his own experience at the helm of Ludus Ljubljana and from running the renowned Ludus Beach Park in the Slovenian capital. Kontopoulos, on the other hand, will be leading the webinar ‘All Seasons, One Club: Managing Indoor & Beach Volleyball for Growth’, thereby discussing what he has been experiencing himself while working for SideOut London.
