Chania Beach Volley Academy Club, 4 Sports Club Academy triumph in Greece’s Elite Series Finals

The 2024 edition of the Greek Beach Volleyball Clubs Championships, aka the Elite Series Finals, was held at the state-of-the-art facilities owned and run by the Karavi Club in Schinias, Athens. The event counted as a qualifier for this year’s Beach Volley European Cup scheduled for the second half of 2024. 

In the men’s competition, Chania Beach Volley Academy Club claimed top honours, with Antiol Kola and Evangelos Sideris cruising to a 2-0 win (15-11, 15-11) over the reigning Greek champion, Stavros Dallas and runner-up Iason Kanellos, who represented the 4 Sports Club Academy.

In the match for the third place, youngsters Kostas Venios/Antonis Karykas of Beach Life Experience Club defeated Iakovos Kafouros/Christos Tsigaridas of Beach Volley Academy Club in straight sets as well (15-13, 15-8).

The 4 Sports Club Academy emerged victorious in the women’s competition with Tatiana Moldovanidi and Persefoni Sakellaridi needing two sets only to claim the final where they played Athina Dilaveri and Areti Teza of Beach Volley Academy Club (15-9, 15-10).

Evanthia Baldoka and Chrysa Giannelou, also representing Beach Volley Academy Club, finished the competition in third place after defeating Erin Malesic and Vanessa Lislevant-Thalassinou of 4 Sports Club (15-13, 15-8).
