First day of Innsbruck zonal event promises exciting finale despite bad weather

With the MEVZA TEN31 Bank Innsbruck BeachEvent, the win2day Beach Volleyball Tour PRO 2023 comes to a worthy conclusion this weekend. Unfortunately, the local stars and international players had to cope with adverse weather conditions - low temperatures and rain - on the first day of Main Draw competition.

The first day of the MEVZA Beach Volleyball Tournament, which started Friday on the Market Square, was successful despite adverse weather conditions. Even in the challenging conditions, all scheduled matches could take place as originally planned. The teams showed exceptional commitment, fighting spirit - and above all, great stamina. The spectators enjoyed spectacular rallies and admired the perseverance of the players who gave their best despite the cold, wind, and rain.

“Now the sun can come out again,” said Simon Varges, chairman and organiser. Not only the players put up a brave fight, but also the crew, the volunteers, and the ball kids.
