News
After two thrilling and close finals, CV Majadahonda from Madrid and Servigroup Poniente Benidorm (Alicante) were crowned champions of the 2024/2025 National Beach Volleyball League (Liga Nacional de Vóley Playa) held in Spain.
This success accounts for the fourth consecutive title for the Majadahonda team, who continue to prove unstoppable in the women’s competition, although this time their rivals from Beachbol La Malva made things more than difficult. Indeed, the final was not decided until the final match, in which Majadahonda’s second team, had to work hard to defeat, this time convincingly, the third Beachbol team.
The semifinals were equally competitive, with both matches, Majadahonda vs Volei Praia Vigo and Braveheart vs Beachbol, being decided by the narrowest of margins.
In the men’s category, Benidorm won their second title, defeating Volei Praia Vigo in the final by a more comfortable score of 5-2. The semifinals were more closely contested, both also decided by a narrow margin, between Benidorm and Beachbol La Malva, and Soul Net 7 Ybarra and Volei Praia Vigo.
The 2024/2025 edition of the National Beach Volleyball League has represented a considerable step forward compared to the previous three editions, both in terms of the number of participating clubs and their competitiveness, which gives everyone in Spain optimism for the future. Moreover, CV Majadahonda and Servigroup Poniente Benidorm have secured the right to represent Spain in the third edition of the CEV Beach Volley European Cup.
