NEVZA Beach Sweden returns to Göteborg

The 2025 edition of NEVZA Beach Sweden is now less than a month away! From October 31 to November 2, the organising club Göteborg BC will host the season-ending stop on the North European Beach Volleyball Tour in the majestic Beach Center.
A total of 32 of Northern Europe’s top Beach Volleyball pairs (16 women’s, 16 men’s) will step onto the sand inside the world’s largest indoor Beach Volleyball arena to battle for top honours, ranking points and prize money in the year’s final NEVZA event.
As tradition dictates, NEVZA Beach Sweden is staged in conjunction with the Halloween Cup weekend, which gathers nearly 400 players for recreational tournaments across the venue’s 16 indoor courts.
“We are looking forward to thrilling matches and great entertainment for the crowd. All athletes, officials and spectators are warmly invited to Saturday night’s Halloween Party at the Beach Center,” said Anneli Friborg, Tournament Director, Gothenburg Beach Volleyball Club (GBC).
Swedish teams have enjoyed plenty of success on the NEVZA circuit over the years, and last year’s Gothenburg stop was no exception, yielding one gold and two silver medals. Home hopes are therefore high once again when the North European Tour returns in late October.
“As organisers, we are both proud and delighted to create high-level competition opportunities for Swedish athletes – an invaluable chance to test themselves against international opposition on home soil while collecting experience and crucial ranking points. Just look at last year’s men’s champions, Jacob Hölting Nilsson and Elmer Andersson; only twelve months on, they are competing at the very top of the world rankings,” Friborg continued.
