For the first time in their history, Swiss Volley delivered this past June 21-22 a domestic event qualifying for the preliminary phase of the CEV Beach Volley European Cup. The competition was held in Kloten and Bessersdorf – with players very much enjoying this truly special opportunity to represent their clubs rather than ‘themselves’, in what is a very innovative concept for Beach Volleyball.
Under ideal weather conditions, the teams did their very best to live up to the expectations and eventually delivered a few drama-filled duels. Everyone enjoyed the competition format and expressed their delight at the experience.
Nidau Volley and the Beachvolley Academy Bern emerged as the winners of the men’s and women’s competition, respectively. They are now due to represent Switzerland in the preliminary phase of the CEV Beach Volley European Cup 2025 scheduled for this coming September, with venues and dates due to be confirmed in due time.
