TVF Spor Lisesi Voleybol İhtisas Kulübü celebrates double triumph in Balikesir

The Turkish Volleyball Federation (TVF) did run this past May 24-26 the 2024 edition of their Beach Volleyball Club Championships with the event held in Ören, Balikesir, in close cooperation with the Balikesir Metropolitan Municipality.

This event brought together some of the best beach volleyball clubs from across Türkiye, thereby showcasing high-level competition and sportsmanship. The beautiful coastal town of Ören provided a picturesque backdrop for the tournament, thus adding to the excitement and enjoyment for players and spectators alike.

The championship, which lasted for three days, concluded with remarkable performances in both the women’s and men’s competitions and the TVF Spor Lisesi Voleybol İhtisas Kulübü emerging as the eventual champions in both divisions. As such, they have qualified for the second edition of the CEV Beach Volley European Cup scheduled for later this year. The inaugural Beach Volley European Cup was held last year in Balikesir, with clubs from Azerbaijan and Slovenia standing on top of the men’s and women’s podiums, respectively. 

The TVF Beach Volleyball Club Championships is an important event in the national beach volleyball calendar, since it helps promote the sport and provides a platform for athletes to compete at a high level. The double success of the TVF Spor Lisesi Voleybol İhtisas Kulübü highlights the growing talent within Turkish Beach Volleyball and the continued efforts made by the TVF to develop the sport.
