TSV Raiffeisen HARTBERG, which has been performing extremely well in the Austrian national league this far, presented themselves more motivated than in Poland a week ago – and yet they did lose the return game of the CEV Cup 32nd Finals to Aluron CMC Warta ZAWIERCIE in straight sets.
The first set was very close, but with a better end for the visitors from Poland (25-23). Lukas Glatz, one of the youngest players on the court, did perform extremely well and he was, together with Djordje Knezevic, top scorer for the home team (they registered 12 points each). However, Aluron CMC Warta delivered a very consistent performance, not forgiving any of the mistakes made by the hosts. The top scorers for the winners were Karol Butryn and Milosz Zniszczoł with 14 and 11 points, respectively. The Polish team edged the hosts with eight blocks to five. In the next round they will play Bulgaria’s Hebar PAZARDZHIK.
