After receiving the silver medal in the FIVB Men’s Club World Championship, Lube took their second victory in Pool C by beating Ok Merkur Maribor 3-0.

The current leader of the national league, Perugia also continued their way in the CEV Champions League Volley without suffering a loss: Perugia lastly beat AS Cannes Dragons and continued to be the leader of Pool E.

Therefore, the result of the match would be important not only for the overall standings in Italy but also the psychological advance for both teams.

The leader of the Pool B of the CEV Champions League Volley, Ziraat Bankası Ankara will host Altekma in their thirteenth match in the Turkish Efeler League.

Ziraat Bankası is the clear pre-favorite, especially after showing an outstanding performance as a team to triumph over Projekt Warszawa in front of the Polish fans.

Pool A’s only undefeated team, the Polish participant of the CEV Champions League Volley, Jastrzebski Wegiel will meet Czarni Radom in the twelfth round of the Polish PlusLiga.

The defending CEV Champions League Volley titleholder Grupa Azoty ZAKSA Kedzierzyn-Kozle is currently at the top of the standing very comfortably; however, since the competition is quite tough for the second place in Poland, Jastrzebski will definitely want a clear win against their relatively weaker opponent.

Zenit Saint Petersburg, the leader of Pool D with a 2/2 record, will visit ASK N. Novgorod for the tenth round in the Russian Superleague.

With equal points, both teams are at the fifth and sixth place respectively, in charts; thus, the result is also very essential for the ranking in the national league.

To conclude, two of the CEV Champions League Volley pool leaders will take the court in one of the biggest matches in whole Europe, and the weekend will be relatively easy for the other pool leaders.
