The national league season is almost about to start in Europe, and the most elite teams of the continent will begin their long journey aiming for the first place in all tournaments they will compete in. The volleyball actions will start in Germany, France, and Poland with the final clashes of Super Cups, and #CLVolleyW clubs of these countries will definitely want to kick off with a trophy.

Two German CEV Champions League Volley participants, Allianz MTV Stuttgart and SSC Palmberg Schwerin, will face off in this year’s German Super Cup. The Stuttgart side definitely dominated the national tournaments last year in Germany by collecting all three gold medals. They also performed quite well in the CEV Champions League Volley 2024 as well, placing in the fifth place.

Of course, their biggest opponent in the country is no one but Schwerin. They became vice champions both in the Super Cup and domestic league last year, which makes them qualify for the #CLVolleyW after 4 years. Therefore, this match does not only stand for taking the cup, but also it will mean a mental advantage over these two powerhouses.

A similar case will happen in France as well: the strongest teams of the country, LEVALLOIS PARIS Saint Cloud and Neptunes NANTES will take the court against each other on Saturday to have a good start to the season. Last year’s CEV Cup semifinalist, Paris, stood at the top of the podium at the last season’s French Ligue A1. Previous season’s CEV Challenge Cup finalist Nantes, on the other hand, took the French Cup and a silver medal in the national league. Both teams will be showing their power on the biggest stage in Europe this season, but before that, of course the goal is to win the Super Cup final first.

The Polish representative in the CEV Champions League, BKS Bostik ZGO BIELSKO-BIAŁA, will also have a battle for the national Super Cup this weekend. They were the winners of the Polish Cup last year and received third place in the league. Without a doubt, they will aim much more this season, and the Super Cup final will be a great opportunity for them. However, their rival, Lotto Chemik Police, had a good record last year, taking both Super Cup and national league titles. Thus, one thing is for sure: a good volleyball clash is waiting for European fans in Poland.

Now, we are all waiting for the upcoming new season in women’s volleyball, but the season will be opened for #CLVolleyW teams with the final battles to become national Super Cup champions. We will see how they return to the court after the summer and which ones will be able to start the season with a national title.
