The men’s club season is finally here, and excitement is building across Europe as the continent’s top leagues get underway. With #CLVolleyM teams preparing to launch their domestic campaigns, every powerhouse will be eager to start strong and send an early message of intent. From Poland and Italy to Germany and Turkey, this week marks the first step on the road to national and continental glory.

In Poland, all four teams representing the country in this season’s CEV Champions League Volley will open their PlusLiga campaigns with favorable matchups. Defending national champions Bogdanka Luk Lublin begin their title defense at home against Norwid Częstochowa, while another heavyweight, PGE Projekt Warszawa, will look to dominate CHKS Chełm in their opener. Asseco Resovia Rzeszów take on Ślepsk Suwałki, aiming to begin their season with a statement win. The most intriguing fixture of the round, however, features Aluron CMC Warta Zawiercie, who face ZAKSA Kędzierzyn-Koźle in a clash that promises high-level volleyball from the very start. Zawiercie will seek to prove their readiness against one of the league’s most seasoned teams.

Meanwhile in Italy, the #CLVolleyM representatives will also look to kick off their seasons confidently. Defending European champions Sir Sicoma Monini Perugia open their campaign against Mint Vero Volley Monza, with targeting a smooth start. Domestic titleholders Itas Trentino will host Cisterna in their season debut, aiming to secure three points with authority. Cucine Lube Civitanova, one of the country’s most consistent top-four finishers, begin their journey against Yuasa Battery Grottazzolina, another match in which the favorites will want to establish their dominance early.

In Germany, perennial champions Berlin Recycling Volleys are ready to begin their pursuit of an incredible tenth consecutive Bundesliga crown. They open their season against VfB Friedrichshafen, a fixture that has often defined German volleyball’s elite rivalry. SVG Lüneburg, another of the country’s #CLVolleyM teams, will open against Ludwigsburg, aiming for a clean three-point victory to start their campaign on the front foot.

All eyes, however, will be on Türkiye, where the new season begins with silverware at stake. The reigning Efeler League champions Ziraat Bankası Ankara will face Fenerbahçe Istanbul, last year’s Turkish Cup winners, in the Turkish Super Cup Final. For Ziraat, this match holds major significance — not only as a chance to secure the first domestic trophy of the season but also as an opportunity to make a statement across Europe. Determined to build on last season’s success and establish themselves as a true continental contender, Ziraat will look to start the year with a commanding performance. Still, with Fenerbahçe’s proven competitiveness and experience, fans can expect a thrilling, hard-fought contest to set the tone for the season ahead.
