Brazil

Dutch national team captain Anne Buijs was on the court with league leaders Dentil Praia Clube and saw her team remain at the top of the standings, securing its 14th victory in the season with a sweep (25-18, 25-17, 25-22) of Esporte Clube Pinheiros on the road on Wednesday.

Praia, who have won four of their last five matches, benefited from 15 points from Buijs, who had 14 kills and one block. She also passed at a 58% efficiency rate and was awarded the Player of the Match.

Korea

Bosnian opposite Jelena Mladenovic had another productive week in the Korean V- League leading her team Incheon Heungkuk Life Pink Spiders to win one of the two matches they played across three days and amassing 42 points along the way.

Mladenovic and the Pink Spiders had a midweek encounter with league leaders Suwon Hyundai E&C Hillstate and the 20 points scored by the Bosnian helped her team secure an important three-set (25-21, 27-25, 25-15) victory on the road.

On Saturday, the opposite and her teammates were back on the court and this time they fell to the Hwaseong IBK Altos in four sets (12-25, 19-25, 26-24, 20-25). Despite the upset, Mladenovic was the match’s top scorer with 22 points.

Indonesia

The second round of the Indonesian Men's League continued this week with some Europeans in action for their clubs.

Two of them were on opposite sides of the court on Thursday, when Jakarta STIN BIN and Jakarta BNI46 clashed. Bulgarian outside hitter Rozalin Penchev scored ten points and helped STIN BIN win 3-1, but BNI46’s Serbian opposite Peter Premović was the match’s top scorer with 16 points.

Penchev was back on the court on Friday, but wasn’t as successful, registering only five points in a three-set loss against Jakarta Lavani Allo Bank.

Premonić and his BNI46 teammates played another two times on the weekend, beating the Palembang Bank Sumselbabe 3-0 on Saturday and falling to the Jakarta Bhayangkara Presis in the tie-breaker on Sunday. The Serbian scored 13 points in the first encounter and improved his production to 20 in the second.
