Prosecco DOC Imoco Conegliano has confirmed the extensions of two key players ahead of the 2025/26 season: middle blocker Sarah Fahr and libero Monica De Gennaro. The announcement underlines the club’s strategy of continuity, retaining both youth and experience in a roster that continues to set the standard in Italian and international volleyball.
De Gennaro is set for her 13th season with Imoco and remains a key piece of the team’s success. She holds every longevity and performance record at the club, including 502 appearances and over 7,200 receptions. A multiple-time best libero award winner, she has played a role in all 29 of the club’s major titles. Her experience and leadership continue to be crucial in maintaining the team’s high standards.
Fahr will enter her sixth consecutive season with Imoco. Since joining in 2020, she has grown into a central figure in the team, winning 18 trophies, including five league titles and three Champions Leagues. Named MVP of the last Supercoppa and a gold medallist at the Paris 2024 Olympics, Fahr has overcome early injuries to become one of the top middle blockers in the game. Her 2.12 blocks per match place her among the best in the squad.
Both players emphasised their strong ties to Conegliano. Fahr spoke of her pride in growing with the club, while De Gennaro highlighted the environment and support that continue to motivate her. Their commitment reflects a strong internal culture where athletes feel valued and supported throughout their careers.
With these renewals, Imoco Conegliano reinforces its position as a benchmark for success in women’s volleyball, combining proven experience with ambition for future achievements.
